My Valentine

I know it's been a while, but I just got a smaller more portable camera/one that I will always have with me and it is easy to get photo's from. Anyways, today is Valentine's Day! I have only ever had a Valentine 2 of my last 21 years and it just so happens it is the same person and the last two years! Jesse is awesome! I am so lucky, this is a side note on how awesome he is (the good thing about his lack of knowledge of this blog, or at least its actual web address is that I can write what ever I want!). He watches a Grey's Anatomy or some other girl flick with me at least once a week, sometimes more. At first the Grey's Anatomy thing started out with him feeling bad for me when I was sick, but I think he is secretly starting to like it. He is an awesome cook and makes me wonderful dinners, like Massaman Curry, Schnitzel, Spiezle, Stir Fries, among others. He is always willing and trying to do things I want to do, sometimes I feel like I have to MAKE him to tell me what he wants to do so we can go and do it! He is so great, I am the luckiest! I sure love him and can't wait to marry him in a little less then FOUR WEEKS!

Anyways, here was our Valentine's Day. It started with Gifts. I got him this....

And he got me this bit of awesomeness (awesome I know! Thanks Cara for finding it!)...

The Chef...
He cooked me this delicious meal...

Then he surprised me and whipped this out...

Which had these movies...

Of which I chose this...

All and all a FANTASTIC Valentine's Day! Thanks Jesse! It was the best yet!

Hiking and another weekend in Moab!

Earlier this week I went on a Hike with some friends up to the Living Room. It was a lot of fun! We went up a new way that I don't know if anyone has ever gone up before, but we made it! It was the first of many very fun hikes!

I also got to go and spend the weekend down in Moab again, this time it was Daniel, Braden, Jesse and I. We had a lot of fun! We played at the park, did the daily on duckies which was really fun, and there actually are pictures, but all of them are on Jesse's camera. Then we watched the sunset at Dead Horse Point. Hiked Morning Glory Arch and had a blast! They were all so kind to let me come along! Here are some photo's from Dead Horse Point.

Moab!

This weekend I went down and visited Jesse in Moab. It was so much fun! Friday we went out to eat and explored a canyon (I don't remember the name of the canyon). Saturday I was lucky enough to go on the daily with him. It was my first time on the river and it was so much fun! I don't have any photo's of that because i didn't want to ruin my camera, but it was so much fun! I was really tired after that, but once I recovered we went up Negro Bill's Canyon and to Arches. Then sunday we went and climbed an Indian ladder and hiked up to a fun pond. Moab is such a fun place! I hope I get to go and explore some more this summer! Here are the photo's...enjoy!

Spring Break

For Spring Break some friends and I went down to Arizona to spend some time in the sun. Although I had several motives, not only did I get to spend time in the sun, but I got to spend time with my brother's family and got to meet the darling little Virginia for the first time and play and laugh with the little energizer bunny Savannah. I also got to see my Uncle and his family who were kind enough to have us over for a pool party, and got to stay the entire week with my grandparents. (I don't have any pics from AZ, at least not yet. My camera had a "lense error"--whatever that is-- So the only person that took pictures was Vanessa and I haven't gotten any from her yet, but I will.)
My grandparents are so amazing! They are what I aspire to be. They have so much energy and life. They got up early every morning and were hard at work when we were all getting ready to have breakfast. Two of the mornings we woke up to the smell of delciousness as my grandma was making us a scrumpcious breakfast of pancake crepes or french toast. They both have such wonderful and loving hearts. I am so grateful to have such wonderful grandparents. I have so many wonderful memories with them and because of them. Here are a few pictures of the two of them some old and new. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for everything, I love you both!

Blocking

In my Psychology class we have been talking a lot about memory. There are 7 deadly sins when it comes to memory. One of which I seem to commit every time I blog. What sin you might ask? Blocking. Defined as: Failure to retrieve information that is available in memory even though you are trying to produce it. It's not that I don't have thoughts to share. It is simply that they come to me at the most inconvenient times and I can never seem to retrieve them at any convenient times. Thus why my blog suffers from serious neglect. A problem I am in the works of reversing.

Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow...

Yesterday...

Yesterday I went to Pennsylvania.

Yesterday was Sunday.

Yesterday all the Amish places were closed because it was Sunday.

Yesterday I went to Valley Forge for the first time.

Yesterday I ran the Rocky Steps.

Yesterday I got to talk to my friends Rose and Holly. It was nice. They are wonderful. I miss them.

Yesterday I went to the Number 1 ranked Haunted House in America. It was scary. I loved it.

Yesterday while in the Haunted House Steve out-acted the actors. I felt the full effects of it.

Yesterday I ate a true Philly Cheesesteak from the 2 best places in town, Geno's and Pat's. Pat's was better.

Yesterday is history.

Today...

Today a Kiosk ripped Dave and I off. Dave got really mad at it. I was amused.

Today we went back to that Kiosk and it gave us more money then we gave it.

Today a Park Ranger blew a whistle at me. A lot.

Today I saw the Liberty Bell.

Today I saw Benjamin Franklin's grave.

Today I stood in the room where the Declaration of Independence and Constitution were signed by our Founding Fathers.

Today I went to a town called Intercourse...yes someone really did name it that and yes it is an Amish town.

Today I learned how to twist and make a pretzel.

Today was an unusual day.

Tomorrow...

Tomorrow I am not working.

Tomorrow I get the honor of visiting Arlington Cemetary and the World War II monument with World War II Veterans. I wish my Grandfather was going to be there.

Tomorrow is still mostly a mystery.

Luck or Chance?

I work at the Colesville Plaza. From the steps of the Plaza I can watch the metro trains come and go as it shuttles people from MD to DC and vice versa. EVERYDAY, and I mean EVERYDAY, no matter what time I leave work - whether it is 5 minutes early, on time, or 5 minutes late - I ALWAYS see the train to wherever I am headed, be it MD or DC, coming in. As I see the train begin to pull up to the station I start to SPRINT(shoes permitting the speed) down the stairs frantically trying to find my wallet to get my metro pass out, shove it in the metro card thing, and sprint up the escalators. EVERYDAY as I reach the top of the escalators the doors are still open. My heart leaps with joy as I run toward the open door. Just as I am about 5ft away EVERYDAY the doors close. I am just far enough away that I can't squeeze myself through the door. Needless to say I am very bothered! So am I just the most unlucky person in the world? Or is it chance?
